About Batool
Batool Zeini joined the Michigan House of Representatives back in 2003, and she continues to serve the 15th district. She is a member of the House Federal and State Affairs Committee because she is involved in where the taxpayer’s money is going toward.
Batool is now 48 and was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and later moved to Massachusetts to attend Williams College. She attended law school and graduated with a law degree . She also met her husband, Harry there and decided to move to Michigan after getting married to raise a family and possibly start working. Currently, she has three kids—two girls and one boy. Batool is very family based and has constant support from them.
Batool ran as a Republican in 2008 and won, ran again in 2010 and won by a landslide. She has been representing the 15th district of Michigan focusing on the issue of abortion.
Batool’s top priority has always been serving her constituents and goes by the politico model. She is also known for personally signing constituent letters each year, in addition to thousands of one-on-one meetings, Batool stays in touch with her district.
Prior to going into office, she was the governor of the state of Michigan and was re-elected. She worked hard to support the people’s wants so this helped her in becoming successful in representing them in the House of Reps.
